The service center of the Wudang Mountains scenic area saw a tide of tourists on July 17. Many of the tour groups consisted of students and teachers from Shenzhen, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Accordingly, the number of tourists has been on the rise this month, which is mainly attributed to tour groups of teachers and students. Generally, the Wudang Mountains scenic area receives 300 to 400 teachers and students every day.
Knowing that summer holiday is a low season to travel, the local tourism administration has taken measures to stimulate the summer-holiday market. Given the fact that summer holidays are mainly for students and teachers, from July 11, tourists with a teacher certification can enjoy a 50 percent discount on entrance tickets and 35 percent off on bus tickets. Students can also receive a 50 percent discount on all tickets. The discount information can be found on weibo, tieba, TV, newspapers and other forms of media.
