Wudang popular at central China tourism expo

The 2012 6th Central China Tourism Exposition was launched in Wuhan International Conference and Exhibition Center from July 6 to 8.
The exhibition area for Wudang Mountain scenic spot of Shiyan city was the most popular and compelling.
Eng Joao Manuel Costa Antunes, chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Shao Qiwei, the director of China National Tourism Administration, and Wang Guosheng, governor of Hubei province, attended the launching ceremony.
The Wudang area exhibited Wudang Mountain, the national AAAAA scenic spot and UN World Cultural Heritage and Tai Chi Lake, the source of the middle route of the south-north water diversion project. The 200 volunteers explained carefully to visitors and showed photos of Wudang Mountain and Tai Chi Lake. The Wudang kungfu show also received a favorable response from the audience.
The 6th Central China Tourism Expo was larger than the previous five, with a total area of 15,000 square meters. The exhibition stands reached 1,000. As an important tourism expositions and festivals in central China, the event attracted more than 500 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions, 30,000 domestic guests, traveling salesmen and other tourism professionals and 180,000 visitors. At the end of the expo, 1,200 business group contracts had been signed with 350 million yuan ($54,950,000).
