To celebrate the 600th anniversary of Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty overhauling the Mount Wudang architectures, the Shiyan municipal committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Mount Wudang special zone and Wudang Taoism Association joined hands to publish a culture and history book. The book is called Wudang Culture Album and will be out before the celebration in October.
The book mainly covers stories of Wudang with historical values and significance from 1900 to 2011, particularly those after the third plenary session of the 11th national congress of the Communist Party of China in 1978.
The book is all about what people personally experienced, saw and heard. It stresses a practical and realistic record of actual events. Stories of people narrated in the first person with vivid language and details give the book a distinctive tone. Audio and visual materials are accepted.
Before May 15, the Danjiangkou municipal government will report the topics and writers to the higher authority in the Shiyan municipal government. The first draft will be completed before July 20, and examined before August 20. The book will be published in September.
