Mount Wudang receives 70,000 tourists on May 1 holiday

Despite the bad weather, Mount Wudang received 69,127 tourists on the three-day May 1 holidays, with a total of 44.7 million yuan ($7.07 million) in tourism revenues.
On April 29, the first day of the vacation, Mount Wudang tourism was affected a little because of the rain forecast and the off-peak traveling. However, the scenic area still received 25,600 tourists, up 6.4 percent year-on-year, a record high for the first day on the May 1 vacation.
On April 30, the second day of the vacation, tourists swarmed to Mount Wudang, although it began to rain at noon. The scenic area had 30,000 tourists in the day, up 0.1 percent.
On May 1, the peak day of tourists to return, there was light rain all day long. The scenic area had 13,400 tourists, up 11.2 percent year-on-year.
