Peony Garden in Xiangyang officially opened

After a year of construction, the Peony Garden in Xiangyang Huangjiawan Scenic Area officially opened to visitors on April 15.
Under the support of the provincial office of Hubei Western Area Eco-Cultural Tourism, the Peony Garden in Xiangyang Huangjiawan Scenic Area is one of the “one river and two mountains” ecological landscape demonstration projects of the province with an initial investment of 9.02 million yuan.
Currently 8.64 million yuan has been invested and the Rukou Peony Garden, Bagua Peony Garden, Longfeng Peony Garden and Mingshi Peony Garden have been established with a total area of 4.3 hectares.
According to an official in charge of the scenic area, the Peony Garden has about 130 varieties of peony flowers with five different colors at present, which is the largest peony growing area in Xiangyang. They will also gradually develop products such as the peony tea, peony porridge, peony food and medicine. The peony bonsai base will be able to form the industrial chain of peony and upgrade the Huangjiawan Scenic Area.
