Yichang holds tourism promotion conference in Qingdao

On April 12, the 2012 Qingdao•Yiling Tourism Products Promotion Conference, jointly hosted by Qingdao and Yichang Yiling district government, was held in Qingdao.

Officials from Qingdao Tourism Administration, Hubei province Tourism Administration, Yichang Tourism Administration , Yiling district government and 100 travel agents from Qingdao attended the event. Lu Bin, deputy secretary and district governor of Yiling District of Yichang, presented the model for the Three Gorges Dam and introduced the achievements of Yiling tourism development at the conference.

To date, 18 scenic areas had been established and opened to the public, including two national 5A class scenic spots and 3 national 4A class scenic spots with an annual reception of both domestic and foreign tourists reaching 3.5 million people.
