Shiyan to host Tai Chi Chuan Health Conference

The General Administration of Sport selected Shiyan city, Hubei province to host the Fourth World Tai Chi Chuan Health Conference in Wudang Mountain on Oct 30-31.

The Martial Art Administration Center of the General Administration of Sports, Chinese Martial Art Association, Hubei provincial sports bureau, and the Shiyan municipal government will host the conference that is organized by the Hubei Martial Art Administrative Center, culture and sport bureau of Shiyan city, and Wudang Mountain Tourism Special Economic Zone Administrative Committee.

The main activities would include a Tai Chi Chuan Competition, Tai Chi Cultural Sculpture Exhibition Forum and much more.

It is a type of Chinese martial art practiced for its defense training and health benefits and it has spread worldwide.

The international event will display the essence of Tai Chi Chuan for scientific fitness.

Former conferences were held in Sanya, Hainan province, Haikou, capital of Hainan province and Hangzhou, capital of Zhejing province.
