This temple, holding two sacred springs, which sits at the foot of Mount Wutai, Shanxi province, 1,000 meters above sea level, was built in 1269, during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).
Wanghai Temple sits 2,996 meters above sea level on the Mount Wutai, in Shanxi province. Its name translates as "watching the sea" because of the splendid view of Bohai from the temple.
Jixiang Temple, on Mount Wutai in Shanxi province, is 2,440 meters above sea level and covered in green and surrounded by streams, with a cool, refreshing climate.
Nanchan Temple that stands today is the earliest wooden building that still exists in China It is located at Lijiazhuang, a village 22 kilometers southeast of Wutai in North China’s Shanxi province.
Situated at the foot of Zhongtai Mountain, Longquan Temple is five kilometers away from Taihuai Town, North China’s Shanxi province.
This Wutai Mountain site sits in Shizui town, 2 kilometers away from the exit of the Xinzhou-Fuping Highway that connects Shanxi and Hebei province in North China.
