More than 300 products executed by 19 Shanxi casting companies were displayed at the 17th China International Foundry Expo in Shanghai, which ran from March 13 to 16.
Participants and visitors reported a wide range of useful exhibits were on display at the event.
"I found equipment and materials suitable for the development of our company at the expo," said Zhang Xuejun, executive director of Shanxi Sanlian Casting Co, whose product line expanded from automotive engine cylinder blocks to key auto parts thanks to partnerships with domestic vehicle manufacturers forged at the expo.
Organizers said the Shanghai expo proved successful in promoting Shanxi foundry casting brands and marked a positive start to this year's Shanxi Brands China Tour. There will be three comprehensive events promoting all the Shanxi brands, as well as several special promotion events for certain Shanxi industries and products during the tour in 2019.
Launched in 1987, the China International Foundry Expo is one of biggest events in the country's foundry sector, with an exhibition area exceeding 100,000 square meters and with more than 1,300 exhibitors from over 80 countries and regions.
