The final of the first Shanxi E-Sports Competition, a component of the second China Youth Games, was held in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, on Jan 13.
Sponsored by the second China Youth Games, Shanxi Sports Industry Association and the organizing company of the national youth games, the e-sports competition was designed to use popular culture to draw public attention to the national youth games taking place in Shanxi in August.
The event was also the first provincial-level e-sports competition in Shanxi province, setting an example to local companies who want to enter the video games sector.
The Mengtian team from Yuncheng city and Tstar team from Taiyuan city won first place in LOL and Arena of Valor respectively.
