Photos themed around the Great Wall in Datong city, Shanxi province, were selected as part of the "Beautiful China" exhibition, part of the 12th China Photography Art Festival which opened in Sanmenxia, Henan province on Nov 18.
The 36 black-and-white exhibits were selected from over 10,000 photos taken by Datong photographer Ren Yanlong over several decades, which show the beauty and vicissitudes of sections of the Great Wall in Datong city.
These photographs help promote the development of Great Wall related tourism and related culture in Datong.
