Linfen Museum officially opened to the public on Sept 18, following a ceremony in which its name plaque was unveiled to assembled guests.
With a floorage area of more than 30,000 square meters, the design of the museum was inspired by the ruins of the ancient Taosi observatory in Xiangfen county.
More than 140,000 cultural relics, including bronze ware and ceramics are displayed for visitors across four themed exhibition areas.
Virtual reality and 3D holographic technologies have been installed to allow visitors to immerse themselves in the exhibits.
