Xinjiang carved lacquer ware

Xinjiang carved lacquer ware is a popular traditional home furnishing of Shanxi province that reached its height during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing dynasties (1644-1911). It is made by craftsmen engraving decorative patterns on the base, the most common pattern of which is a cloud pattern.
