Jade eagle

This 10.3-cm-tall, 4.3-cm-wide full relief eagle was unearthed in the village of Beizhao, from Tomb No 63 at the Jin site, in 1993. The bird looks strong and alert. Its head has a little dragon biting a part on the bird’s head, and its tail coiling upward as if it were the eagle’s crest. The sculpture has refined, smooth lines and exquisite patterns.
