The Shanxi Construction Industrial Park started its construction in the Jinzhong development area of the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone on Aug 9.
The park jointly built by Shanxi Construction Investment Group and Taiyuan Coal Gasification Group is a pilot project meant to improve the business environment in Shanxi province.
The park will be constructed in two phases with an expected investment of 3.65 billion yuan ($530.18 million). Covering 67.8 hectares, it will consist of six parts, namely precast concrete, utility tunnel, decoration and renovation, green construction material, intelligent manufacturing of construction material, intelligent storage and logistics.
The first-phase project covering 27.83 hectares is expected to be put into operation at the end of September and the annual output value is to reach 4.1 billion yuan once completed.
The construction of the second-phase project covering 39.97 hectares will begin in October. It will be developed into a national demonstration park for comprehensive utilization of distributed energy resources by establishing a big data management platform and promoting application of building information modeling technology.
