Shanxi launched a cloud platform to promote its culture at an initiation ceremony in Taiyuan on Aug 17.
The cloud platform will integrate data on Shanxi culture, manage cultural resources, provide public cultural services and support creative industries through information technologies such as cloud computing and big data.
The first online Shanxi Art Festival has been launched in the meantime to showcase art and culture in Shanxi using a cloud platform. Activities and related information for the first Shanxi Art Festival, which also runs offline from Aug 18 to Sept 26, can be discovered online through computers and mobiles.
