The Shanxi Internet of Things (IoT) Industry Technology Association was officially launched in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, on May 5.
Focusing on innovation based on IoT, the association will advance the development of IoT in Shanxi and promote the application of scientific reasearch in IoT for local industries. The Shanxi IoT Industry Technology Center, built by leading IoT companies in Shanxi such as Topchance and Rockontrol, will be responsible for supporting the association.
The association will recruit members, conduct IoT industry research and provide public services related to the field to develop itself into an open world platform.
Following the establishment of the provincial big data industry association in December 2016, The new IoT association marks another vital step to boost Shanxi's IT industry.
Shanxi University and the Taiyuan University of Technology signed cooperation agreements with the association at the founding ceremony. A total of 17 experts from eight colleges were appointed as the members of an association expert committee.
