The works were arranged into three types: works reflecting the Year of the Rooster, those depicting Shanxi folk customs and others on the theme of Chinese gardens.

What is attracting most visitors is a piece of work especially made for the coming Year of the Rooster. The work, which is 1.38 meters long and 0.68 meters wide, is in the shape of a tree and is made up of 66 rooster-shaped paper cutting pieces. The work implies good luck and happiness.

Chinese paper cutting was recognized as world intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2009. The exhibition aims to further visitors' understanding of the traditional Chinese culture of landscape gardening. The 200 artworks will be on display at the museum until April 23.
