Shanxi Elderly Painting and Calligraphy Association set up an expert committee in Taiyuan on Nov 14.
The committee will be committed to facilitating the marketing of Chinese paintings and calligraphy works, and promoting cooperation between local companies and cultural organizations.
Shanxi aims to enrich elderly people's lives and boost traditional arts in the province by further supporting their arts and giving senior artists plenty of opportunities to use their talents.
More than 120 experts, scholars, artists and business representatives from 11 cities across the province attended the inauguration. At the meeting, the newly founded committee donated paintings and calligraphy pieces to Guangong Art Research Institute, a sponsor of the event.
