Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, has announced the opening of a new direct flight to Kunming, Yunnan province, as of June 8, every day using a Boeing 737, as part of an aviation strategic cooperation agreement between the two cities.
The flight departs Kunming at 9:30 am and arrives at Taiyuan at 12:30 pm then departs again at 13:30 pm and flies on to Changchun, arriving there at 15:45 pm. The return flight leaves Changchun at 16:45 pm, lands at Taiyuan at 19:20 pm, and reaches Kunming at 23:25 pm.
Shanxi Airport Group has been improving its services to attract more business with more airlines to Taiyuan. As of May 31, Taiyuan airport had 96 passenger air routes to 64 countries, involving 23 domestic and 10 international airlines.
