The accuracy of Shanxi’s heavy-pollution pre-warning system hit 70 percent.
The system went into trial operation at the end of this October. It can predict air quality data for the next 48 hours, released through the official website of Shanxi Environment Monitoring Central Station.
The pre-warning system also applies trend analysis, tracks pollutant sources, and evaluates of emergency emission reduction measures.
The system provides support for environmental protection authorities, as well as for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional joint air pollution control and prevention mechanism.
