Shanxi's Council for the Promotion of International Trade hosted an investment and trade forum between Kazakhstan and North China's Shanxi province on Jan 20 for their mutual cooperation regarding new energy, mining, machinery, agriculture and international trade.
The heads and officials of the national industrious zone in Ongtustik, Kazakstan and more than 50 representatives of Shanxi enterprises attended this forum and discussed about trade and monetary cooperation, traffic connectivity and exchanges.
This forum was one part of the One Belt And One Road project, which derives from two concepts of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" that Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward in 2013 and is expected to promote China's economic cooperation with countries from Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
