Shanxi officially kicked off an annual report display system for enterprises and private business on Oct 1. They can submit annual reports to industry and commerce administrations for the public to see through the credit information display system. As of yesterday, a total of 1,018 enterprises and private businesses released annual reports online, including 500 domestic enterprises, 51 foreign ones and 467 private businesses, according to the provincial industrial and commercial bureau. Business owners have to register first before submitting the annual report.

Enterprises must take the initiative to send an annual report to the industry and commerce department. The report mainly covers investor and business information and name and asset information on online stores.

"Company personnel have to open the system and click the ‘立即注册 (Registration Now)’ button to enter the registration page, where they can fill in the company information," said an official with the provincial industrial and commercial bureau. "The bureau will approve the registration once the information is verified." Then, company personnel can log onto the system, put in a registration number, password and verification code, and then fill in the information and annual report form.

"At the moment, Shanxi has opened the enterprise information display platform to the public, and company annual reports and instant information can reach the public through the new network carrier," said a worker with the provincial industrial and commercial bureau. "The public can have access to registration information and credit records of all businesses in Shanxi."

The local government allows private business owners to display information online or send paper annual reports to relevant industrial and commercial institutes. "We will give annual report guidance to individual business owners who can also go to industrial and commercial institutes, where relevant personnel will help them finish the procedure," said Han Feng, director of the Sanqiao industrial and commercial institute.
