The second Magnificent Shanxi cultural festival started on Sunday. The theme of this year’s festival is to experience the history and charm of Shanxi province. A photography exhibition, cultural park tours, and national circuit exhibitions will be part of the cultural festival.
The photography exhibition, organized by the Shanxi Photographers Association, will display photos that present the natural, humanistic, and spiritual beauty of Shanxi and people there. The organizer is now collecting photographs from public.
Cultural park tours, which are in the planning stage, will be a highlight of the festival. Tourist attractions, intangible cultural heritage, time-honored brands, folk art forms and other unique Shanxi cultural elements will be exhibited in Pingyao ancient town during the first week of October.
The national circuit exhibition will select photos, products, and some artwork displayed during the cultural park tours and will present them in some big cities across China to promote Shanxi in China and around the world.
