There was a signing ceremony at the 1st Shanxi Culture Industry Fair, on June 29, at its China (Taiyuan) Coal Transaction Center, for 161 major culture projects worth 73.5 billion yuan, in all.
The projects cover many culture industry areas, with a large number dealing with creativity, resource integration, tourism, science, and finance, all of which are sectors showing good developmental promise in Shanxi province's culture industry.
Hu Suping, head of the provincial publicity department, addressed the signing ceremony, where she said that their culture industry has maintained growth of more than 25 percent, in recent years, and accounted for 3.5 percent of provincial GDP, last year.
