NETDA sets up textiles standardization technical committee

The Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA – located in the prefecture-level city of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – recently set up an important textiles standardization technical committee.

The establishment of the Third National Household Textile Standardization Technical Committee Bedding Sub-technical Committee there on April 7 reportedly heralded the establishment of other such standardization organizations in the development zone.

The textiles committee aims to play a key role in promoting the standardization work and the high-quality development of the home textiles industry in the NETDA.

It is expected to be a key platform for textiles firms participating in international and domestic standardization activities. The secretariat functions of the sub-committee will be undertaken by Luolai Lifestyle Technology Co Ltd, a home textiles company headquartered in Nantong.

Earlier this year, the Luolai Charity Fund was established at an event organized by the company in the NETDA.

It liaised with supply chain companies to found the public welfare fund, with their employees volunteering to participate in its operation.
