With an area of approximately 2,500 mu (166 hectares), the Urban-rural commercial zone plans to build a new professional market platform with comprehensive functions including gathered commerce, centralized popularity, as well as logistics centers open to domestic and even international market functions. The built-up area now covers about 1,200 mu, and accommodates more than 30 logistics and trade services companies engaged in warehousing and distribution. The Urban-rural commercial zone achieved an operating income of nearly 20 billion yuan in 2010, employing nearly 6,000 people and recording tax revenue of 350 million yuan.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
