The park covers an area of 65,000 square meters, which can be divided into seven sectors, namely a theme square, sports museum, swimming pool, public gym, and water entertainment zone.
There are two principal theme parks. One follows the design of an Olympic road, which is a winding riverside path with many memorial statues of Olympic winners and world champion winners from Nantong.
The other is designed as a museum, representing Nantong’s reputation of being a “pearl of the river and sea”. The museum’s dome is made of glass, so that it forms a giant glorious sphere when twilight comes and the lights are turned on.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
