"We have to stick to the decisions of the central and provincial governments when doing our work," he told the newspaper.
Liu said the HPPCC made several proposals in 2009 to promote economic growth, reform and industrial restructuring, and to improve people's livelihoods.
The conference this year will promote the province's technology innovations, industrial upgrading and urbanization, while also developing strategic new industries and improving people's livelihoods through political consultation and proposals, he said.
"This year is the 60th anniversary of the HPPCC. It is significant for us to study how to expand its role," Liu said. |
