The annual China International Cartoon and Animation Festival has been recognized as one of the world's biggest cartoon pageants, offering opportunities to creators, industry and cartoon lovers.

The sixth edition of the festival opens today in Hangzhou and runs through next Monday at the Hangzhou World Leisure Expo Park. Extensions will be open at White Horse Lake, Hangzhou Library and Yuhang Liangzhu Culture Museum.
It opens with a 13-float parade in downtown Hangzhou and a gala at the Huanglong Sports Center.
