This year marks the 460th anniversary of Tang Xianzu, one of the most prominent playwrights of China’s history. Four of his most well known works are The Purple Hairpin (紫钗记), The Peony Pavilion (牡丹亭)， Record of Handen (邯郸记) and Record of Southern Bough（南柯记）.
As an anniversary tribute, on April 1st, Zhejiang Kun Opera Troupe staged a show in Shengli Opera House featuring the 4 great works of Tangxianzu.
Kun opera fans from Hongkong performance art academy and Zhejiang University and 26 well-known artists from Zhejiang all gathered in Hangzhou and applauded uproariously for their tremendous performance.
