A press conference for the first festival of the Shenyang international raspberry festival was held on April 2nd in Beijing New Poly Plaza. Officials of the state and Shenyang municipality, some foreign ambassadors, professionals and experts as well as journalists form 50 presses attended this meeting.

Yu bo, the managing director of the agricultural committee of Shengyang municipality hosted this conference while vice mayor, Wangxiang delivered a passionate speech and sent his invitation to the world.

Liyi, the representative of IRO in China read out a congratulatory letter from IRO and expressed that IRO would join in the activities concerning about this festival. Wang guihong, chairman of the board in Liaoning New Land Corp, which is the organizer of this festival, gave a brief introduction to the preparation work of this activity and answered the questions from the little journalists.

The first International Festival of Raspberry, sponsored by the Shenyang municipality, Shenyang rural economy committee, local authority of Dongling district and organized by Liaoning New Land,  will be launched in July, from the 12th to the 14th in Shenyang.

This festival consists of 5 events: the Summit of international industry of raspberry; a ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Statue of Raspberry, the foundation-stone-laying ceremony of the Raspberry Museum; city safari on raspberry-theme, raspberry business matchmaking and a series of events related to raspberry, such as the ceremony to release the “Beautiful Raspberry”, a set of calligraphy and painting of this cute plant and the selecting competition of international ambassador for raspberry.
