2009-November-24 16:06:33

A three-year-old boy in Hangzhou survived a fall from the 8th floor of an apartment after landing on shrubs, a local newspaper said on Monday.

The boy’s doctor, Sun Baiping, said the boy has no fatal injury but his left lung is slightly injured. He has been hospitalized for observation before being allowed home.

According to the Morning Daily, the incident occurred in Dushifenglin community on Sunday afternoon.

One neighbor said "The boy climbed on the windowsill and, when he saw his father driving home, shouted "Dad!"

“Perhaps the boy was too excited to see his dad and fell off”, the neighbor said.

Several similar incidents have been reported in Hangzhou. Sun warned parents with small children that windows must be locked as children aged three to five have strong curiosity.
