The Hangzhou River Protection Office held an appraisal event titled "2009’s Most Beautiful Rivers in My Mind" during the National Day holiday from September 29-October 10, 2009.
There were 22 candidate rivers, which were constructed or renovated for this year’s National Day.
Through public voting and expert evaluation, the six rivers selected were Shangsiyanshanpu River, Liutangwenyang River, Zhonghe South Section, Hanggang River, Guanhe River and Zijin Port.
