Netizens get more input on city development

An online Council Chamber was set up on the website Hangzhou.com.cn on November 17 so netizens’ can have a greater role in social and economic development.

Wang Guoping, member of the standing committee of the CPC Zhejiang Committee and chief secretary of CPC Hangzhou Committee, recently announced that Hangzhou will build two homes and two centers – a Citizens’ Home, Netizens’ Home, New Administrative Service Center and Online Administrative Service Center.

Hangzhou.com.cn launched an activity, “Golden Ideas”, through the channel Online Council Chamber, to encourage the participation of common citizens in the construction of the new homes and centers.

Anyone with ideas or thoughts about the construction can send them through the online channel or call the hotline at 85052222.

Awards for the activity total over 10,000 yuan. The first prize winner will be presented with 3,000 yuan, second 2,000 yuan and third 500 yuan.

The channel is sponsored by General Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Hangzhou Government Publicity Department and Hangzhou Daily Group.
