11th West Lake International Expo rakes in 13.8 billion

With the curtain falling on the 11th West Lake International Expo on November 7 in Zhejiang’s Hangzhou, the 22-day-long Expo scooped up 13.8 billion yuan.

According to agreements signed during the Expo, 1.06 billion dollars of foreign investments were announced and 13.2 billion dollars of investments were introduced from other provinces.

An audience of 12.9 million attended the Expo, which consisted of 124 exhibitions and events. The Expo’s website received 5.74 billion hits and 2.45 billion tickets for the opening ceremony, fireworks show, and closing ceremony were issued.

The 11th West Lake International Expo was launched between October 17 and November 7 in Hangzhou, capital of east China’s Zhejiang province.

With the theme “Confident Hangzhou, Quality Expo”, the event, held at numerous venues around the city, displayed the daily life of local people and showcased various fields in Hangzhou.
