Hangzhou High-tech Industry Development Zone launched a new plan to attract international talents at the opening ceremony for the Overseas High-level Innovative Entrepreneurship Talent Base.

The “50/50 Plan for Overseas High-level Innovative Entrepreneurship Talent was officially announced at the ceremony.

According to the plan, the Hangzhou High-tech Industry Development Zone plans to introduce 50 senior overseas talents and encourage overseas Chinese to set up 50 enterprises in five years. The senior overseas talents and leading entrepreneurship talents will be entitled to favorable policies on purchasing houses, among others, once their entrepreneurship programs are approved by the expert group.

Hangzhou High-tech Industry Development Zone was set up in March 1990. It is dedicated to the commercialization, industrialization and internationalization of scientific and technological achievements to transfer high technology into direct productive forces, and pours unlimited life into economic development and urban prosperity, according to Zone officials.
