The 4th China International Poster Biennial (CIPB) will finally open to the public today at Hangzhou’s West Lake. The exhibition of posters chosen from throughout the world is intended to provide a review of the current state of international poster design in the 21st century.

The posters on display

Since 2003, the CIPB has been successfully held three times and attended by designers and social groups from all over the world. The CIPB works as an international communication platform in the areas of graphic design and design education. At the same time, it has improved the progress of international graphic design.

With a high reputation as an educational organization of art and design, the China Academy of Art has devoted great efforts to organize the CIPB in the past six years. The CIPB has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China as an official cultural communicative project, and has become an important part of The West Lake Expo in Hangzhou. As one of the best exhibitions in the field of international design, the CIPB gathers the best graphic designers in the world to form a jury committee for the Biennial, enhancing China’s and global poster design to a higher level.
