LORD Mayor of Leeds, Judith Elliott,  has flown to Hangzhou in China to mark the 21st anniversary of the two cities being twinned.

While in the Far East, she acted as an ambassador for Leeds and attempted to develop cultural and economic links.

Judith Elliott, Mayor of Leeds, and Sheng Song'en, vice headmaster of Zhejiang University of Technology, were talking sincerely.

Ms Elliott paid a visit to Zhejiang University of Technology, where she was granted a warm welcome by Sheng Song'en, vice headmaster of the university, who briefed over the progresses of postgraduate cooperation project and expressed the desire to expand the cooperation.
