“Alibaba has a dream and it helps numerous people to create their own career. Hangzhou has a dream and all are invited to build it into a city of quality lifestyles.” said Ma Yun, CEO of retail website Alibaba and participant in the assembly.

With the theme of “establish a reputation for Hangzhou businessmen, build and share ‘the city of quality lifestyles’”, the assembly invited renowned experts and scholars to discuss how to promote Hangzhou businessmen from the aspects of entrepreneurship, creativity, culture and responsibility. The 12th Hangzhou economic cooperation conference will be held to publicize the investment environment in Hangzhou.

Officials who attended the ceremony included Wang Guoping, member of the standing committee of CPC Zhejiang Committee and chief secretary of CPC Hangzhou Committee; Cai Qi, mayor of Hangzhou and Ye Ming, secretary of Hangzhou Discipline Inspection Commission.

The Hangzhou Businessmen Assembly was held by Hangzhou government, Hangzhou Economic and Cooperation Office, Hangzhou Industry and other related departments.
