The 3rd Cultural Innovation Industry Expo, the largest expo since the International Cartoon Festival, is going to be held in Hangzhou Heping Exhibition Center from Oct 16 to Oct 19.

According to the press conference on Sep 17, the expo has not only brought in many culturally-related companies and organizations nationwide, but also managed to invite some famous designers with their works from the Asia Pacific region. The exhibition takes up 20 thousand square meters with its one thousand booths. The square in front of the exhibition center will host an innovation design fair, taking up an area of 1,500 square meters.

Besides the main exhibition area, five branch exhibitions, four forums, five themed activities and two fairs will be set up or held during the exhibition.

The five branches are Zhijiang Cultural Innovation Park, Grand Canal Tiandi Cultural Innovation Park, Innovation & Business Street on Zhongshan Road, Xixi Wetland and Tongjia Village Resort.

The five activities are 2009 Innovation Industry Design Competition, Asia Pacific Interior Decoration Master Competition & Awarding Ceremony, Sci & Tech Festival for Primary and High School Students, West Lake Innovation Fair and IPR Protection Campaign.

The four forums are Cultural Innovation Industry Investment & Finance Forum, 2009 China’s City Summit, China’s Media Industry Summit and Stamp Stone Forum.

The organizer hoped that this expo could comprehensively display Hangzhou’s innovation potential and strengthen the cooperation between Hangzhou and other parts of the world.
