Public invited to try “intelligent tour guide” at Leifeng Pagoda

Five service branches have been set up at Lingyin Temple, Yue Fei Temple, Yellow Dragon Cave, Tiger Spring and Six Harmonies Pagoda. Paying 100 yuan for deposit, tourists can rent an electronic tour guide charging 10 yuan per day, while it costs 30 to 50 yuan to hire a human guide.

Aunt Yang also expressed her worry that it was inconvenient for aged people to go to the five service branches to return the machine. To remove her doubt director Liu said that they can offer free onsite services to get the machine and pay back the deposit.

Liu also said the “intelligent tour guide” will be gradually perfected on more functions, such as broadcasting news and tourism information, marking public conveniences, bus stations and information centers.
