On September 10, the 2009 China Hangzhou Electronics and Information Exposition opened at the Hangzhou Peace International Exhibition and Conference Center in Hangzhou, capital of east China’s Zhejiang province.
The exposition, running until September 13, is co-sponsored by the Hangzhou government and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association. It will focus on electronic products, e-commerce software and related services, with floor space of 20,000 square meters, showcasing more than 1,000 booths with exhibits from the mainland, Taiwan and foreign countries.
Many famous Taiwanese and mainland Chinese enterprises will be at this year’s expo, including Shihlin Electric & Engineering Corp, Han’s Laser Technology Co Ltd, and SUPCON Group Co Ltd.
In addition to purchase and investment activities, six summit forums will be held during the exposition.
The expo is the third such event jointly organized by the city and the Taiwan association, according to Tong Guili, deputy mayor of Hangzhou, and the most recent exposition to attract about 10,000 participants from sixteen countries.
Organizers said the expo will not only promote communication and cooperation between Hangzhou and Taiwan in the information industry, but also accelerate the development of the electronic information industry in China.
