Children from Taipei of southeast China's Taiwan Province danced on the opening ceremony of the West Lake International Carnival held in Hangzhou, capital of east's China's Zhejiang Province, on Aug. 25, 2009. On the opening ceremony, several hundreds of folk artists from over ten countries and regions such as Canada, Turkey, Italy, etc. performed various folk dances and songs. After the opening ceremony, the folk artists will travel to several districts and counties in Hangzhou to perform for the local residents.
