Aviation

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is a key shipping center, a tourism hub, and international airport in China. Its passenger, freight, and post throughput are all among the top ten in China. At the end of 2008, 193 airlines, including 38 international or district airlines provide service to Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Pusan, as well as Hong Kong and Macao.

Highway

Hangzhou is the hub of five major expressways (Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, Hangzhou-Nanjing Expressway, Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou Expressway, Hangzhou-the Thousand Island Lake Expressway and Hangzhou-Huangshan Expressway) and 11 smaller national and provincial highways.

Railroad

Hangzhou is a key railroad hub in southeast China, connecting three important railroad lines of the country: Shanghai-Kunming Railraod, Hangzhou-Xuancheng (Anhui Province) Railroad and Hangzhou-Ningbo Rairaod.

Water transportation

Hangzhou also provides a key link to inland river ports. The famous Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal has been connected to Qiantang River, and a water network connecting Hangzhou to rivers, lakes and seas in other parts of the country has also been completed.
