A 500-square meter Xixi Folk Art Museum exhibiting more than 1000 folk crafts will open to the public in a historical street named Old Street in Liuxia.
The museum founder and collector Mr. Chen has spent over 20 years collecting. He said proudly, the collections really satisfy his personal interest, and in a deeper sense, they reflect the developing pace of Xixi over 1000 years.
The museum will display 3 categories of collections. Farming tools includes water wheels, spinning wheels, rice barrels, fishing boats, oars, etc. Living necessities are basin, dresser, tray, food closet, wardrobe, beds, etc. The rest will be hand-made crafts with typical folk characteristics such as wooden carving, bamboo weaving, silver ware, accessories, painting, embroidery, stone sculpture, lantern, paper-cut, xylograph, etc.
