Hangzhou hosted the 5th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF) from April 28 to May 3 2009. With over 1,800 display stalls in a great hall of 60,000 square meters, the Cartoon & Animation Industrial EXPO has been showing the latest masterpieces of cartoons and animations from home and abroad. Over 20 events including Recruitment Fair, COSPLAY Mega Celebration, a fantasy pageant, West Lake Creationary Market, children cartoon competition and others have been or will be held in Hangzhou Xiaoshan Leisure EXPO Park with nearly 300 participant enterprises and organizations from over 10 countries and regions including the US, Japan, France, Canada, Croatia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
