According to Haikou Customs, more than 220,000 tax-free commodities have sold out all their goods and about 75,000 tourists have picked up goods from offshore tax-free stores.
The average daily tax-free sales have reached 4,500. This spectacle happens after the Customs’ provisional measures on offshore duty-free shopping supervision from 20th April to 7th June. Presently, Haikou Customs has prepared to ignite the opening of tax-free stores.
The tax-free system has operated smoothly and stably since its application. Meanwhile, offshore tax-free supervision system and public service platform progress well. Haikou Customs’ timely data exchange and high accuracy rate can guarantee the efficient supervision of sales, transportation and delivery of tax-free goods. At the same time, Customs’ pre-determined emergency response measures have solved many problems, such as the return and exchange of goods, and safeguard of goods due to flight delay. Moreover, tax-free commodities can be on store shelves in time with Haikou Customs’ supervision and inspection in warehousing and sales.
Haikou Customs has set out to prepare the details of tax-free store operation, introduced by its responsible officer. Recently, Customs’ offshore tax-free supervision systems have been further adjusted to strengthen professional training and ensure the opening of tax-free stores.
