Pingnan boosts cultural tourism development

Since Pingnan county started the construction of a tourist plan centered on “World Cultural Heritage Location at Wan’an Bridge” last March, the ecotourist-minded county has been developing gradually.
Pingnan has actively integrated “six new Ningde”, comprehensively carrying out six projects to develop cultural trends, perfect cultural facilities, expand cultural benefits to people, protect cultural heritage, create cultural competitive products, and increase the cultural industry. With the combination of all these projects together with its excellent cultural reputation, Pingnan is working painstakingly to build up its support for ecotourism.
To build its cultural reputation, Pingnan county introduced working programs on the cultural industry and cultural relics, starting to develop an arched bridge culture, ancient town culture, ancient Chinese opera culture, Gan Guobao culture, martial arts culture, and diet culture to bring it to the forefront of ecotourism.
