The third session of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference -- the CPPCC -- kicked off in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province on Jan 11, according to officials.

A total of 470 CPPCC members were present at the opening ceremony, including Bayanqolu, Party chief of Jilin province, Jing Junhai, governor of the province and Jiang Zelin, chairman of the CPPCC Jilin Committee.

Jiang delivered the annual work report of the CPPCC Jilin Committee for the past year, giving a briefing on its achievements in 2019 and plans for 2020.
